Tour Overview

At 1,239 meters in height, Mt Mbeliling offers a cool refuge from the warmer temperatures on the coast. And Sano Nggoang at 500 meters in depth, the deepest volcanic crater lakes in the world. Early morning light reflects the surrounding mountains in the lake’s sulfuric waters, shrouding the area in an ethereal layer of fog. Tado, a traditional Manggarai community where hand woven textiles, elaborate rites of passage and yearly cycles of ceremonies remain central themes in the daily life of its people. Respectful and interested visitors to Tado are assured of a warm welcome. Wae Rebho, the most traditional village where Manggaraian tribal ethnics are dwelt, located hidden among mountains feet.

Itinerary

Day 1: LABUAN BAJO ARRIVAL (-/ -/ D).

Upon arrival at Komodo airport of Labuan Bajo West Flores, our local guide will meet you then transfer to hotel for accommodation. Afternoon free program. Dinner and stay overnight at Gili hilltop Hotel or simmiliar.

 

Day 2: LABUAN BAJO – MELO VILLIAG –CUNCA RAMI WATERFALL – SANONGGOANG (B/ L/ D).

Deperture by car sano ngoang village (30 km from Labuanbajo). Will stop in Melo villiage before continue drive to cunca rami waterfall in werang area. On the way you can see Flores endemic birds such as Flores hanging-parrot Loriculus flosculus. Flores crow Corvus florensis and many other birds. Explore pure nature, rain forest and interact with local people. Take some relaxation at Cunca Rami Waterfall. Lunch will be provided by local people in Werang. In the afternoon drive to Sano Nggoang–a volcanic formed slopes and flat ridges area. There is a crater lake in the active mountain of Wae Sano. Dinner and stay overnight at Villagers House.

 

Day 3: SANONGGOANG LAKE – TADO VILLIAGE ADVENTURE (B/ L/ D).

Start your new day by walking around the deepest crater lake of Sano Nggoang, feel close to nature and local people. Afternoon drive to Tado–Community Based Eco Tourism-participate in eco tourism activities—get in touch with local people, join their activities or request some programs such as Ancient Rituals, Jungle Survivals or Traditional Artistantry and crafts. Dinner and stay overnight at Villagers House.

 

Day 4: TADO – DENGE VILLAGE (B/ L/ D).

Departure from Tado Villiage —drive through southern coastline of Nangalili, discover southern part of Manggarai—stops for relaxing and swimming at Dintor and for making picture. Dinner and stay overnight at Villagers House in Denge.

 

Day 5: DENGE – WAEREBHO (B/ L/ D).

Take a 4 hours trekking to Wae Rebho village–the most authentic traditional house of Manggaraian tribal ethnics–located at 1000 meters above sea level and surrounded by mountains. All houses in this village are traditional with very tall thatch roofs with inside the roofs has 5 levels–the top four mainly used as storage while living area located at the bottom. Here we will stay overnight in a house with 8 families (traditional sleeping mattresses provided). A great opportunity to get in touch with village people, learn by seeing, asking, and feeling their culture, life and activities. Dinner and stay overnight at Villagers House.

 

Day 6: WAEREBHO – RUTENG (B/ L/ D).

Trek down to Denge village. Lunch will be provided in Denge. After lunch drive up to Ruteng with some stops in Narang with its spectacular spider-web-like-rice terraces and scenery. Dinner and stay overnight at Hotel Dahlia or MBC Missionary Guest House in Ruteng.

 

Day 7: RUTENG – BAJAWA (B/ L/ D).

After breakfast departure from your hotel to visit Golo Curu with its very nice scenery from Ruteng town and rice field, back to Ruteng and visit Ruteng Puu before you leave for Bajawa, on the way stops in Rana Mese lake, Aimere and Bena Traditional village of Ngada. Dinner and stay overnight at Hotel Bintang Wisata.

 

Day 8: BAJAWA AND SURROUNDINGS (B/ L/ D).

Early morning at 08.00 am drive and visit bena megaliticum villiage and surroundings. Return to town and in the afternoon visit Soa hot spring for soaking up in warm water. Dinner and stay overnight at Hotel Bintang Wisata.

 

Day 9: BAJAWA – MONI VILLIAGE (B/ L/ D).

Leave Bajawa with several visits to Wogo traditional village, Pengga Jawa beach to see the blue rocks filled bay and lunch in Ende. Continue to Moni Villiage . soft trekking for exploring the village of Moni . Dinner and stay overnight at kelimutu eco lodge or simmiliar.

 

Day 10: MONI VILLIAGE – KELIMUTU – MAUMERE (B/ L/ D).

At 04:15 drive and trekking up to Kelimutu – the inexplicably three colored crater lakes (Brown, turquoise and Black), the most spectacular and mysterious sight of Indonesian. After exploring the lakes we hike and driving down to parking area. From here trek down through natural trail while watching birds and listening to the natural voices. Back to vehicle driving down till former Forestry Conservation Post then follow another trekking trail passing through beautiful villages and waterfalls till we reach the Trans Flores High way and continue to Paga and Maumere. Dinner and stay overnight at Sea World Club Cottages or Wailiti Beach Resort.

 

Day 11: MAUMERE – DEPARTURE (B/ -/ -).

In the morning free program at your hotel until departure time to Wai oti airport for your flight to next destination. Our service ends!
